Black Turtle Beans
These jet black beans may be small, but we all know great things come in small packages! Mild tasting with a soft texture, there really is no end to the many wonderful dishes that can be made with Black Turtle Beans. Cook them in rich broths, add them to your salsas or soups, spice them up with your favorite kinds of peppers - the possibilities are endless! Simply called 'black beans', these are a staple of Latin cuisine, appearing in popular dishes such as 'rice and beans', burritos, and the Brazilian national masterpiece, 'feijoada'. Sweet and nourishing, they have a meaty texture and are a delicious addition to chillis, soups and stews. In addition to being a great source of vegetarian protein, black beans contain natural antioxydants. You can even use Black Turtle Beans to make delicious, gluten free brownies. High in protein and fiber, rich in B vitamins, iron and zinc. A perfect item to stock up on!
