Resolved Question: Trip to Australia - 5 days 4 nights?
Hi there,
Anyone have suggestions for a 5 days 4 nights trip to Australia. I'd be touching down in Perth. I'd like to go to an oyster farm, fish/seafood market and a 'gourmet' market.
Hope someone can advise.
Thanx.
Andrew

Resolved Question: Can I get your opinion on my wedding menu (REVISED VERSION)?
Soup and salad:
soup- butternut squash or seafood chowder
salad- gourmet salad with olive oil chutney or mesclun with fruit vinaigrette & goat cheese
Entrees: grilled salmon fillet with hollandaise sauce, chicken à la provencale with black olives, or filet mignon Rossini-style. Sides: vegetables and potatoes or rice.
Dessert: cream caramel custard (flan) with chantilly cream (whipped cream) and dry petits fours, raspberry chocolate mango crème brûlée, or chocolate fondant with strawberry purée. The wedding cake will be served later on.
-none of the guests are vegetarian, vegan, or lactose intolerant. No food allergies either (except one is allergic to jackfruit).
-this isn't a confirmed menu so I can still change it.
Why should I put the sauce on the side? I'm not objecting or saying it's a bad idea, I just don't know what's the difference between the sauce in a condiment bowl and directly on the fish.

Resolved Question: Help with Hardship letter...!!!!?
I have to write a hardship letter for my BP claim that keeps getting denied..... I work in a Restaurant that serves seafood along the gulf coast and I just dont know how to work it.... any idea or help? I need to sound persuasive....! I am the worst when it comes to writing.... i cant put my thoughts right and how to make everything flow.... and mainly just dont know what to write..... here is what I got so far.....
To whom it may concern,
I work in a restaurant called ****** that is located in ********, Fl. I am a server there working less than 40 hours a week. It is an American gourmet restaurant that sells pastas, salads, sandwiches and seafood. Shrimp, bay scallops, sea scallops, mussels, grouper cheeks, snapper, and lobster are all the seafood that is served. Since the oil spill the price of the seafood has been raised. Our economy is tourist based. Not only are the customers wanting to pay higher prices , they are afraid of tainted seafood.
Not only is Provisions a Restaurant but it is also a catering company. Provisions is the main caterers in this area. Once news that our beaches had oil from the spill, all of the caterings we had on schedule got cancelled and future bookings are looking are nearly nonexistent. Each catering event is an additional $150 for servers, like myself.
I am seeking compensation for the loss of money that could have been earned and for the future loss of earnings in the coming years. I have provided all my tax information for 2008, 2009, and 2010 along with current paystubs.

Resolved Question: Is this a weird gift to get on Valentine's day?
So, my boyfriend doesn't like sweets, so I didn't want to get him chocolate. He also has no use for flowers, so I didn't get him that either.
I decided to buy him a gift basket of assorted dried gourmet sausages and cheese and have that shipped to his house along with a card where I told him how much I love him, etc.
( http://www.igourmet.com/shoppe/prodview.aspx?cat=Gift+Baskets+And+Boxes+By+Food+Type&subcat=Meats+and+Seafood&prod=AG617&name=Ultimate+Salami+Collection+in+Gift+Box )
Is this a weird gift?
Also, he hasn't said a THING about getting me anything. Do you think he simply didn't get me ANYTHING, or is he keeping it a surprise? (Your guess is as good as mine)

Resolved Question: I would love to know about profitable recipes for an upscale gourmet deli!!!?
I am the only cook. Deli is upscale. No fish or seafood. Got to keep costs down and profitability high. No HFCS is used to the best of my ability. It would be fun to connect with other upscale deli owners!!! Thanks!

Resolved Question: Best buffets in Taipei, Taiwan?
Any recommendations for an excellent seafood or gourmet buffet? Somewhere that will impress the palates of a person that has "tasted them all"! Preferably somewhere my dining companions and I can dress up. Please include lunch/dinner prices and/or websites if you know them. Any information will be much appreciated. Thank you very much in advance! :)
A description of the cuisine/restaurant would be helpful!
